Story
As a platform that supports multiple languages, I would like to be able to choose a language options as I create or edit an auto notification.
Details
The goal of this feature is to be able to create translated versions of existing auto notifications. Once we have multiple version of the same notification, send them the right language based on the store language configuration.
In order to create a complete list of auto notifications translated into Spanish (or any other language) we will need to be able to create a new notification of the same "Type" (Admin > Auto Notifications > Notification Type > Type) but with a different "Language" flag. This will allow us to recognize an action that triggers an auto notification based on "Type", determine the default language of the store, and send the right notification.
Colin did some research for this feature. That can be found in CFAMX-13005
Acceptance Criteria
- A new "Language" dropdown exists in MMS.
- Default language to blank. This language option is a valid save state and all existing auto notifications should default to this.
- Dropdown options include:
- American English
- French (Canada)
- Spanish
- Dropdown options include:
- With the Language selection set to default (blank) Auto Notifications continue to function as they do without this feature.
- The user language selection always populates the drop down after an auto notification is saved.
- If the user does not change the language selection from the default, the default value always populates the drop down after save. Updated 4/5
- Please note: There is not an expectation that System Generated message information is translated. This will require additional work and research. For this story we need to be able to store translated custom subject and message body information.
