MXC- Paid in and Out Categories - Deleting does not appear to be removing data from LedgerChartofAccounts

Scenario - on Delete from the UI of a PI or PO  category, the row no longer displays in the Mobile UI , however the record still exists in the DB in LedgerChartofAccounts 

Steps -

1. Navigate to MXC >Settings>>Paid In/Out Categories 

2. Delete a record that is toggled on or toggled off 

3. The row no longer is displayed in the UI as active or inactive

Defect - 

When looking in the DB at the LedgerChartofAccounts  the record still exists

QUESTION: how is it that we can remove it from the UI and not from the DB? Is there actually another table that is in play now? Please Advise.
