CFA Vendor short name update requires more than 30 characters
Chick-Fil-A is in the process of updating Distributor and Distribution Centers names. With these changes vendor's short name will be the same as vendor's name. For 'Food Authority of Massachusetts' its short name will be 'Food Authority of Massachusetts'. When I am trying to update it, it gives me this error: 'Msg 8152, Level 16, State 14, Line 21
String or binary data would be truncated.
The statement has been terminated.'
I've checked tbVendorshortName table parameters and it appears ShortName column max length is varchar 30
'Food Authority of Massachusetts' is 31. There is a need to support more than 30 characters.
Based on the way that CFA are sending these names, it would be prudent to match the field to be the same size as the VendorName in tbVendor.
