INF Reference Number:INF-12277
Hi Will Englefield, would love a high-level estimate around this feature as mentioned on our call this morning. I think the main goal we are trying to solve here is for CFA Supply to second a second, more updated ASN prior to shipment if they find that certain quantities are not available. We would want InFORM to process this ASN and then send out a new auto-notification to Restaurant, update the system On Order values, and update the Estimated Delivery time (if it changed).
Exceptions: if the order has already been auto-received, or manually received, continue to "reject" the ASN file and send error email like we do today. Assuming the order is still in a "Shipped/Dispatched" status though, the system should import the updated ASN and process all the data exactly as if it were the first one sent.
Thanks!
ASN Process Overview:
- Order Placed
- Order Acknowledgement Received
- ASN Received
- ASN uses Order Number as reference
- If no order number is provided, order can be created (based on vendor specific config)
- Today, if a second ASN is received, with the same order number, it is rejected
- When an item is on the order and in the ASN, the shipped quantity for that item is updated, using the value in the ASN
- When an item is on the order, but not in the ASN, the shipped Quantity is set to zero
- The ASN supports substitutions
- The ASN supports generic items
- When a delivery time is included in the ASN, the ASN can be auto received
- There are various conditions around auto receive
- After an ASN is successfully imported, an Auto Notification is sent
- If there is an ASN discrepancy (ordered not equal to shipped) notification is put in the Bell area (I cant seem to get this to work!)
- No exports are kicked off based on the receipt of an ASN
- ASN uses Order Number as reference
- ASNs should only be processed for orders that are in an appropriate state (Placed)
- What to do when an item is in the first ASN but not the second (set qty to zero?)
