Ordering - SO- prevent on hand quantities from going below 0.

    Details

    • INF Reference Number:
      INF-12267

      Description

      Initial Requirement

InFORM feature request: prevent on hand quantities from going below 0, either altogether in InFORM or just in suggested order qty formula. If we do still want InFORM to let items' on hand qty's to drop below 0, could we simply replace any negative on hand qty with a 0 when it's being used to calculate a suggested order qty?

      Notes

After some discussion with CFA, we will review options to update the Suggested Ordering algorithm to treat a negative on-hand as zero.

We will also look to add some audit details, update the UI so that the user understands, and most likely make a change to the Order Export to provide you with the details.

      Stories

      1. Update the Suggested Ordering algorithm to treat a negative on-hand as zero
      2. Track the fact that the on-hand was negative, but was changed to zero
      3. Display both the original on-hand, and zero in the Suggested Details panel
      4. Include the original negative on-hand in the Oder Export, in addition to the zero that was used
      5. ? Inform the user in the Pace Order modal that the order that is being submitted contains items that had the on-hand set to zero ?

      Configuration

There will be an info icon added to the Suggested Ordering panel on the Ordering Details page. The text for the icon is localized and stored here:

The two fields are named ActualOnHand and UsedAsOnHandValue.
