This looks like it was a missed requirement, and was found in the Testing Environment, which is why it's a Testing Defect, and needs to be resolved in R3.
- TestingENV
- Store 2454
- Location Import used to change from Vendor A to Vendor B
- Vendor Migrated successfully
- Job run to migrate the Store Order Guide rules
- Update Order Guide After VendorChange
- An item was marked as discontinued, for Vendor B, via the Order Guide Rules
- When the vendor was first migrated from vendor A to vendor B, the item was not available on the Store Order Guide
- After the job, Update Order Guide After VendorChange, was run, the item became available and active on the Store Order Guide
- It appears that the logic used to copy Store Order Guide Settings from Vendor A to Vendor B, does not account for items being discontinued, and simply copies the state
- From memory, Active on the Store Order Guide represents more than just one setting in the back end.
- Prior to implementing a fix for this, we need to properly understand and document what needs to be happen
