Increase the available Auto-Receive "Delay Hours" option - INF-10042

    Details

      Description

Increase the available Auto-Receive "Delay Hours" option from up to 6 hours to up to 24 hours (from 0.5 hour increments to 1 hour increments)

Currently, a store user can set "delay hours" for their distributor that dictate when auto-receiving should take place. They can choose time values from .5 to 6 hours. We would like to increase their options to allow them to choose up to 24 hours. See the screenshot below of the dropdown. We simply need to expand the available list up to 24 hours

Assumptions: the default value of 6 hours should remain in place as new Restaurants/Vendors are added. The only thing that should change is the option for a user to increase past the 6 hour setting should they choose to do so.

Business reasoning: Some distributors have particularly bad "estimated delivery timestamps" which cause the order to be auto-received much earlier than it was physically received at the Restaurant. For example, some distributors may accidentally enter the "estimated delivery" as the time the truck actually left the DC, not when it was scheduled to arrive. By allowing the Restaurants to choose a higher delay hours setting, they can ensure that orders don't get auto-received too soon. The particular Restaurants who have requested we increase this setting are ones that have very tight/good inventory management practices, and actually prefer to not allow auto-receiving to run for them. In their situation, they see it as a last-chance safety net to auto-receive the truck should they forget to do so themselves, and by increasing this delay hours to 24 it gives them a better shot at being able to NOT have the issue of an faulty early delivery timestamp auto-receiving on their behalf.
