INF Reference Number:INF-12185
CFA has decided to move forward with creating country specific items and recipes/PINS. The country for the item will be identified with the ISO country code and be passed into InFORM via the Inventory Items file. For now, the only two codes will be CAN and USA, but more will be added as restaurants open in different countries. Existing items will have USA added to their inventory record. We will need functionality similar to the DWH Only flag that specifies that US Inventory items only display for US stores and Canadian Inventory items only display for Canadian Stores.
These are the requirements as we understand them now. We are awaiting clarification from the international team as to whether there will be items they want to appear for both countries (or in the future, combinations of countries). If there are recommendations/limitations from the HS side, we'd like to know so we can share that with the international menu team as they create their strategy.
