As an operator, I want inactive items marked as In Use when a Vendor Item is linked to them.
Details
- For Entity Items (EI) set to "In Use = False", check for associated Vendor Entity Items (VEI) that have an introduction date of "today" or in the past and a discontinue date that is one of the following:
- Null
- Less than 90 Days in the Past
- Today
- Greater Than Today
- This job should be separate from the "Not in Use / Deactivate" job.
Acceptance Criteria
Confirm for Entity Items that start with the "In Use" flag set to "False":
- If a VEI has an introduction date of "today" the "In Use" flag for the associated EI is flipped to "True".
- If a VEI has an introduction date
of today orbefore today and the discontinue date is less than 90 days before today, the EI "In Use" flag is flipped to "True".- If the discontinue date is more than 90 days before today, the "In Use" flag is unchanged.
- If a VEI has an introduction date of today or before and the discontinue date is "Null" the "In Use" flag for the associated EI is flipped to "True".
- The newly updated EI is viewable in the Inventory Maintenance page when the "In Use" flag is flipped to true. (This is just a sanity check and does require rigorous testing of all scenarios if confidence is high. Please use your discretion)
Note: For an item to be marked as InUse, any one VEI can be active
