      Description

      Story

As an admin, I would like the "Category" field to never be blank when when items are imported into InFROM from the Sales Item Import File.

      How the process works now

When InFORM receives a Sales Item Import file from CFA, InFORM uses an SSIS package to transform the data from the Master file into three separate files that are later imported into InFORM. If there are items in the Master file where the Category is N/A, the SSIS package removes the N/A and leaves that field blank in the column. Items where the Category field Is blank, in the Sales Item Import, fail to load into InFORM.

How CFA would like this process to work

The SSIS will preserve the N/A data point from the Sales Item Master file and convey this value to the Sale Item Import file. If the Category field is blank in Sales Item Import file, the SSIS package will update the Sales Item Import file to include N/A for this item.

The goal of this feature is to confirm that the Category field is never blank when the data is imported into the InFORM database.

      AC

      Confirm

      1. If the Category field is BLANK in the Sales Item Import File, add N/A to the category field via SSIS before the file is imported.
      2. If the Category filed is N/A or NA in the Sales Item Import File, preserve these values and do not convert these fields to BLANK
      3. These changes are added to Source Control
